The short version

I grew up in Bellevue, Washington, went undefeated in high school tennis, then played four years of Division I at Santa Clara — top-10 in career wins in program history. Master's at Nottingham. Two years as an investment banker at D.A. Davidson. Good job. Good money. Very good chair.

In January 2023 I quit banking to play pickleball full time. My parents were supportive and confused, in that order.

Three years later: 20+ PPA medals, five golds, the first triple crown in PPA Asia history, and a spot on the LA Mad Drops next to Ben Johns and Catherine Parenteau.

The finance degree didn't go to waste. It's why I can read my own contracts, build a business that doesn't eat my training, and explain in plain numbers why your third shot drop keeps floating. The analytical stuff transferred. The sitting still never did.

Two hands. One backhand. The shot everybody told me didn't belong in pickleball.

Too slow to prepare, they said. Not enough reach. I kept hitting it anyway — because it's the stroke I'd trusted since I was a kid on a tennis court, and because when it's built right it's the most disguised ball in the sport. Roll, drive and drop look identical until it's already gone.

Now it has a name, a trademark, and it's the reason most people find me.
